Ha means leaf — and like a leaf’s veins, the grain of this blade follows lines no machine could draw. This is a true master’s katana, made by the full traditional sequence of bending, forging, hardening and polishing, built on the layered Kobuse construction that wraps a hard cutting steel around a softer, resilient core. It is aimed at the connoisseur who wants the real thing, not a production approximation.
Forging & Steel
Kobuse is one of the old master methods: a hard, high-carbon outer steel is forged around a tougher inner core, so the sword keeps a keen edge without becoming brittle under the stress of a cut. Here that outer is T10 carrying a Damascus hamon, finished with cross-grinding for precise geometry and a hamon that the master draws up entirely by hand polish — patient work that reveals a depth no etched line can fake. The result is a high-value piece for the collector who wants to own a genuine master’s katana rather than a factory blade. The copper tsuba is sculpted with silver and gold details, the saya is lacquered solid wood that protects the edge between sessions, and the tsuka is wrapped in stingray leather for a grip that lasts. It is pitched squarely at serious collectors and martial-arts culture enthusiasts who appreciate the difference handwork makes.

Is it battle-ready?
Yes. The Kobuse T10 blade is hardened, hand-polished and sharpened for real cutting at the highest level, while its master finish makes it a centrepiece for display. Explore the rest of the master-grade katana range, or compare it with the hand-forged Igen and the composite Densetsu.

Absolutely fantastic product. Exactly as described and shown in the photos. It took over 2 months before I got it but it was worth the wait.
The person who helped me (Satiana) was also very helpful and quick to reply within a reasonable time.
I loved it so much that I decided to buy 3 more blades.
First off, I have to say the product arrived very fast. Communication with the site is responsive. As for the katana, this is the second one I’ve ordered from them. The first (a mid-range one) was perfect, which is why I ordered a second. I was a little surprised at first glance with this one. It’s true it’s a very beautiful handmade katana, the blade is heavy and you can tell the steel and materials used are quality. But for me it had a couple of (minor) flaws. First, I felt the edge lacked a bit of straightness, and the cutting edge itself wasn’t perfectly straight either. So I don’t know if that’s a (characteristic) trait of this kind of high-end hand-forged katana. Aside from that it’s a quality sword. But for a top-tier katana like this I’d have liked a flawless blade.
