Yubashiri is one of Roronoa Zoro’s named swords in One Piece — a black-bladed katana he carried with real reverence — and fans want it built to match that respect. This handmade Yubashiri katana reproduces Zoro’s blade as a genuine working sword and a true collector’s item.
Forging & Steel
The 72 cm blade is forged from 1060 carbon steel, a high-carbon alloy that takes and holds a true edge while staying resilient under impact. It is hand-polished to reveal the steel and mounted on a full-tang core, so the whole katana is one solid piece. Two bamboo mekugi pin the tang for full disassembly.
Mounts & Fittings
A sculpted iron tsuba seats the balance and guards the hand, carved iron menuki sit under the synthetic-shagreen wrap for grip, and the light lacquered wood saya keeps the sword nimble and clean on a stand.
Care & Maintenance
A high-carbon blade like this rewards a little upkeep. Because 1060 steel is reactive, wipe the blade down after every handling session and lay on a thin film of light mineral or camellia oil before it slides back into the saya, which stops surface rust from ever taking hold. Knock out the two bamboo mekugi when you want to strip the sword for a deeper clean, and store it edge-up on a stand so the lacquered scabbard never bears the weight of the blade. Treated this way, it stays keen, bright and display-ready for years.

Is it battle-ready?
Yes. The sharpened, full-tang 1060 blade handles light tatami practice and stands proud on display. Complete Zoro’s collection from our anime katana range, including the Wado Ichimonji katana and the Ame no Habakiri katana.

This katana is amazing! High quality, feels heavy and solid in the hand. Looks really cool and was well worth the price. I was nervous at first since it was an online shop I’d never heard of, but I got lucky with this one. Highly recommend!
Very impressive sword quality, extremely happy with the purchase and already eyeing another one.
Top tier product for sure, best site to start a collection like this one.
Really good quality katana, excellent work from the smiths. The only small issue is that the saya doesn’t hold the katana very securely.
Very pleased with my purchase. The small details on the handle and the scabbard shift around a little, but nothing serious, otherwise a really great quality blade!
