Forging & Steel

The blade is forged from 1060 carbon steel, a high-carbon alloy that sits at the sweet spot for a working anime katana: hard enough to take and hold a real edge, springy enough to forgive a beginner’s handling. It is hand-polished to draw out the grain and the temper line, then mounted on a true full-tang that runs the length of the handle and locks the whole sword into one continuous, impact-tolerant piece. Two bamboo mekugi pin the tang so the katana can be fully disassembled for cleaning and oiling.

Mounts & Fittings

A sculpted iron tsuba guards the hand and sets the balance point close to the grip, while carved iron menuki nestle under the wrap. The handle is bound in synthetic shagreen — a durable, ethical alternative to real ray skin — for a secure hold under tension. The lightweight lacquered wood saya finishes the floral, soft-toned aesthetic that makes this one of the most collectible Demon Slayer swords on a stand.
