Ozayaka — azayaka, vivid, brilliant — is a name about colour and clarity, and this katana delivers both. The blade’s Damascus grain runs like water in the light, and the black-lacquered saya carries a vivid dragon, all dressed in gilded copper. It is a master-tier sword built to be looked at closely and drawn often.
Forging & Steel
The blade is forged from a unique folded Damascus steel whose pattern recalls flowing water — each layer of the fold surfacing into a current that no single-billet blade can fake. That construction is what balances the two demands of a cutting katana: the edge runs hard and sharp, while the body keeps the flexibility to absorb a cut without taking a set. It is a blade for serious practitioners as much as for the display case.
The mounts are master-grade. A carved, gilded copper tsuba carries traditional Japanese motifs, the black-lacquered saya features a vivid dragon — a symbol of power and wisdom — with a green sageo, and the genuine white shagreen tsuka is set with a copper menuki kit over two bamboo mekugi pinning a full tang.

Is it battle-ready?
Yes. The Ozayaka is a full-tang, functional Damascus katana with a genuine sharp edge. At a balanced 1.2 kg with scabbard it stays maneuverable for cutting practice while remaining a striking piece for display. Sold for trained, responsible handling.
