Ryousei means shooting star — and the blade is built to move like one: a fully mirror-polished T10 edge that streaks through the cut with reduced resistance, light and fluid in the hand. It is a sword made for the enthusiast of the sword arts, where beauty and finesse matter as much as raw cutting power.
Forging & Steel
The blade is forged from high-carbon T10 tool steel and mirror-polished over its entire length. T10 gives high strength and edge retention; the full mirror polish reduces cutting resistance for fluid, fast movement and brings the steel to a clean, reflective finish. The result is a blade that draws and cuts with the smoothness the name promises.
Mounting & Fittings
The tsuba is carved and gilded copper, protecting the hand, while the saya is green-lacquered wood with a green-and-white sageo for securing the sword to the belt. The tsuka is wrapped in genuine white shagreen with golden tsuka-ito for improved grip, a copper menuki kit and two bamboo mekugi over a true full-tang blade — well-suited to both training and demonstration of Iaido or Kenjutsu.

Is it battle-ready?
Yes. Ryousei is a sharpened, full-tang T10 blade, mirror-polished end to end — a functional cutting katana built for the fluid movement of Iaido and Kenjutsu, light at 1.2 kg with a gold-wrapped grip. It is equally striking on a stand. For similar T10 craftsmanship, compare the mirror-polished Katana Tori and the hand-hammered Katana Tame in our katana range.
